CES: the onesie that monitors your baby’s health

Baby monitors are taken to the next level, with the baby grow that keeps track of your baby’s health and collects the data while you sleep.

The Consumer Electronics Show revealed the latest in baby gadgets, with the onesie that monitors your baby’s health.

The wearable sensor, in the shape of a turtle, lets parents know everything from their baby’s breathing rate and pulse to temperature and body position.

The founder of “Mimo” monitor, Thomas Lipoma, explained how the device worked: “It’s essentially a computer built into an SD card.

“When the turtle snaps on [to the onesie], it’ll collect respiration, skin temperature, body position, audio, movement and send all that information over your home’s Wi-Fi to our servers.”

Mr Lipoma said the device would give the parents peace of mind, ” this way you can just pull up your cell phone and see everything’s totally fine. You can go back to sleep.”

The Mimo starter kit will be available from this summer, priced from 199 US dollars (£120.00).
