“I think it’s really important for families in the hospital to give themselves time to actually parent their child. To create an identity for that child is incredibly helpful in the beginning of the grieving process. To give baby an identity, to give baby a
name, to spend time holding baby, and having that shared experience of being
able to parent together.”
No one is ever fully prepared for the loss of a child.
