This is how long it took participants to complete a “Trail Making Test,” or TMT, which is scientist-speak for “a test that measures how quick your mind is.” Basically, you have to trace a line between consecutive numbers and/or letters on a piece of paper. OK, so this study was done on rats, and those poor bastards didn’t fare well in the end. But it’s kinda hard to measure lactate levels without making some...sacrifices. So it’s the way you do it.
